Summer is calling, and we’re bringing the heat

At The Combine of Oakland, we’re all about building consistency, community, and confidence one class at a time. That’s why we’re launching our biggest challenge of the season: the Summer Draft Challenge, running from June 20 to July 20. Whether you're training solo or teaming up with friends, this challenge is your chance to push your limits, stay accountable, and earn your spot on the leaderboard. (And yes, there will be prizes.)

Summer Draft Challenge: Overview

The Combine's Summer Draft Challenge is about showing up with intention. Over just 30 days, you’ll commit to a track of classes and complete them solo or with a team. You’ll check in, track your progress in-studio, and compete for glory, prizes, and bragging rights.

  • Dates: June 20 - July 20, 2025. (Sign up is now open!)

  • Track Your Progress: All classes at The Combine of Oakland count toward this challenge! Whether it's strength, bootcamp, or yoga, simply check in at the front desk and track your progress on the in-studio leaderboard.

  • Finisher Rewards: Every finisher will receive an official award and be entered into a raffle for bonus prizes. Top performers will also receive shout-outs on our leaderboard.

The Challenge

Pick your track to complete by July 20:

  • Solo Draft. Choose to complete 15 or 20 classes solo.

  • Teams of 2. Complete 20 or 40 classes together with a friend or family member.

  • Teams of 4. Knock out 40 classes together with your crew.

How To Sign Up

Choose your class track and teammates (if you’re partnering up or forming a crew) when you register with the link above. Unlimited members can register for FREE, while other members will need to upgrade their membership or purchase a class pack based on the chosen track. Sign up by June 18th to join our biggest challenge of the season!

Our programming at The Combine is built around real-life performance—functional movements that help Oakland locals crush hikes, run stairs, lose weight, and live their best life. This is your time to dig in and move forward with support, energy, and purpose behind you.

Tips for a Successful Summer Draft Challenge

This challenge is all about consistency, and consistency doesn’t happen by accident. Here are some tips to stay on track and make the most of your 30-day push:

1. Schedule Your Workouts Like Appointments

Pick your class days at the start of each week and add them to your calendar. Treat your workouts like non-negotiable meetings. Showing up for yourself is a priority.

2. Communicate With Your Team

If you're in a team track, create a group chat or check-in system with your teammates every week. Encourage each other, celebrate milestones, and coordinate your classes. Accountability gets stronger when everyone’s involved.

3. Mix Up Your Class Types

Stay excited and avoid burnout by rotating between the various fitness classes offered at The Combine of Oakland. Movement variety keeps the body challenged and the mind engaged.

4. Track Your Progress Visually

Use the in-studio leaderboard and your fitness journal or app to see your progress. Watching your tally grow is a motivating reminder of how far you’ve come.

5. Ask for Support When You Need It

Our coaches are here to help. Whether you need a schedule adjustment, a movement modification, or a mid-challenge pep talk, don’t hesitate to reach out.
